ARAN WAVE SOCKS
(Thank you dear testers for making these socks real!)

The wavy pattern with ribbing is inspired by the famous Aran sweater patterns.
The Arans are a group of islands west of the Irish coast, where incredible knitting patterns have been developed for generations.
Love them!

To achieve knit-like Aran stitches in crochet, the pattern has to be worked sideways.
An unusual, but easy and interesting method for socks.
Worked flat, back and forth in one piece.
Two heel versions are included in the pattern:
Neat afterthought heel, or fast and easy integrated heel.

The sock shape is easy, but the wavy pattern requires your full attention and patience.
At least in the beginning, until you get the hang of the repeats, and how the hook is inserted in each row.
That is why this pattern is labeled Intermediate/Experienced.
