Let the beauty and magic of simple lace create a wavy cable-look cowl without any cabling at all! As a bonus, the stripes of the self-striping yarn are softened as the stitches meander both left and right. Adding thin mohair takes the worsted-weight yarn up to bulky gauge and the bigger needles help speed along the knitting.

The lace pattern is both charted and written.

YARNS (held together)
A: worsted-weight yarn, self-striping, variegated or solid color. Approximately 155-170 yds.
B: lace-weight mohair, silk. Approximately 155-170 yds.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
20” or 24” circular needles: US size 9 (5.5 mm) and size 10 (6 mm). You will also need a stitch marker and a tapestry needle for the bind-off and weaving in the ends. Optional: 5 additional stitch markers to place between each lace section.

GAUGE
15 sts and 22 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch on larger needle, both yarns held together.

FINISHED SIZE 10 inches (25.5 cm) tall and 22 inches (56 cm) circumference when blocked.
