Arbor Baby Sweater: A Cardigan for Charity
Errata If you are knitting the collar, follow your multiple, but add between 10 and 20 stitches to the neck area for a more comfortable fit. :)
This sweater was crocheted for a donation to Pine Ridge Reservation OB Ward for babies through the group Bundles of Joy.
Rib can be crocheted or knitted, insts for k1p1, k2p2 and k3p2 rib included.

“Special notes: Pattern is worked from right front, up and down around the back to the left front. Arm spaces are created in the pattern stitch to be crocheted in the round later. The top/shoulder area is sewn with a whip stitch and then the shawl collar is either crocheted or knitted as desired.
The hdc is the perfect stitch to crochet this type of construction for a sweater, it allows for a faster crochet garment, as well as provides ease of movement for the baby vs. sc which provides a stiff garment and is still warm without the “holes” that come from the dc stitch.
