Arbroath Cowl

This cowl has been designed for the Knit A Long in conjunction with Honey Girl Farms Yarns, but of course is also suitable and perfect to make with other yarns too..

This is a knitted piece that can be finished in two different ways allowing the cowl to be versatile to your own preference of finished look, it’s an easy lace pattern repeat that makes a perfect project for a fairly new knitter wanting to try something lacy, as well as for the more experienced knitter.
A gauge hasn’t been included as the piece is worked to the end of the skein.

The name of the cowl comes from the port town of Arbroath on the north east coast of Scotland that was settled in the 12th Century and features in the outlander story as a smuggling port.
