Arc of Iris knits up even more quickly than Histori-cowl, from approx 110 to 120 yds DK yarn (if your gauge is correct!)
It is knitted in the round and an advanced beginner will complete it having learned some new techniques.
The simple textured stitches add interest for both the knitter and the wearer and there is a pretty 5-stitch floral flare increase around the base of the cowl.

Although this sample is knitted up in a custom-dyed rainbow yarn, the design will suit variegated kettle-dyed yarns well and Indian Cross Stitch bands add visual interest in emphasising the different, vibrant colours.

There is a photo-tutorial included, showing how to cross the Indian Cross Stitch in the opposite direction for the second band.

The width of the cowl can be altered by adding or subtracting stitches in multiples of 8 to achieve a customised length.

Requirements:
1 skein DK yarn such as Manos Silk Blend (50g approx. 137m/150 yds, although only 33g used for the rainbow cowl)
4.5mm (US 9) circular needle (80cm)
Extra knitting needle to do Indian Cross Stitch reversed (optional)
Tapestry needle
