I love all the Avengers, but one of my favorites (right up there with Thor!) is Iron Man. His talent for technology and irreverent sense of humor is just so much fun - and having a J.A.R.V.I.S. would be the coolest thing ever! Now you can show off Tony Stark’s amazing Arc Reactor design as an extra-large shawl that can double as a superhero cape. This Arc Reactor may not help you fly, but it will wrap you up nicely and it’s got plenty of power to keep you warm!

Arc Reactor was originally part of the Firefly Fiber Arts Fandom Kits series and has since sold out. But check out their website for other fan-tastic things to make!

About the pattern:
Arc Reactor is a large triangular-ish shawl worked in the round from the center out, with the two side wings knit on before adding a border in the round. Garter strips and knitted-in I-Cords add texture, and the shawl looks great with gradient yarn sets or sparkles. Or add some speckles to show off the fusion action! The pattern is an intermediate level and uses the magic loop technique as well as modular knitting and short rows.

400 yds each of Fingering weight yarn in 4 colors – 1600 yds total
