This hat and cowl set are the epitome of cosy and knit up quickly in a bulky, super-soft alpaca like Baby Alpaca Grande from Plymouth Yarn. The big cables form an arcade pattern, with ribbing at the edges to prevent curling. The hat is topped off with a big, fuzzy pom-pom!

The hat and cowl are both knit in the round so there is no seaming. Both have a cabled arch design that requires a cable needle or spare DPN. The pom-pom is made with a Clover Pom-Pom maker, but could easily be made with other methods. The cowl uses Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off to make it more elastic.
