This is a pattern for the Carbuncle companion for Arcanists from the video game Final Fantasy XIV.

This is the pattern, not the finished product.

Size:
Approximately 3.5” tall (ground to back) and 5.5” long (from nose to butt).
Size will vary depending on yarn type and hook size.

Materials:

• Crochet hook appropriate for yarn and desired stitch size (I used a E-4/3.5 mm hook)
• Worsted weight yarn in desired body color, as well as red, white, and black
  • I used Red Heart Super Saver colors as follows:
    • Aruba Sea for the emerald carbuncle
    • Gold for the topaz carbuncle
    • Flamingo for the ruby carbuncle
    • Cherry red for the head accent
    • Soft white for belly detail
    • Black for nose and mouth
• 9 mm black plastic safety eyes
• Fiberfill for stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Stitch Markers (used to indicate last stitch in round, move it up as you go)
• Sewing pins
• Scissors
