This lace backed vest has inset pockets, ribbed trim, and buttons up the front. The back hem has a unique, irregular edge in the center, bordered by ribbing on each side for a modern look. Most of the vest is knit in stockinette stitch. The buttonband is easily knit separately then attached for a classic finish.

The pattern is written, not graphed, for ease of execution. (Graphing and creating a smaller size were not options due to the width and changes in the lace design. Size small can be created by using a smaller gauge.)

Any worsted weight yarn that gives you gauge should work well for this design.
