Arches washcloth
A free version is also available.
• DESCRIPTION: The Arches washcloth is made with a great stitch and has beautiful open spaces that give it delicate look which is offset by the solid blocks of stitches. It isn’t too feminine and produces a fun fabric.
• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 15 DC and 8 rows per 4”.
Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 10 inches by 10.5 inches.
• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
sk = skip
st = stitch
sp = space
DC = Double crochet
* * = Repeat what is in asterisks the indicated number of times
NOTE: Ch 3 at the beginning of the row counts as a stitch.
• MATERIALS:
About 90 yards of I Love This Cotton Yarn in Aspyn or any #4 cotton or cotton blend.
A 4.0 mm (F) hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitch markers if desired.
