The pattern is written in U.S. terms. Using a 3.5mm hook will be approx. Polar Bear 13.5cm high & cm 10.5 wide.
Penguin 12cm high & cm 11 wide. Walrus 13.5cm high & cm 12 wide.
Whale 10cm high & cm 17.5 wide.
I use stylecraft special double knit for most of my applique patterns but any double knit yarn is suitable. Gauge is not important
they look gorgeous on a baby blanket & hat set or in a shadow box for a baby gift. It looks great on a bag or wall hanging too.
