Arctic Mermaid
News (March 2015): This pattern is not representative of my current design work and pattern writing style. It may or may not be updated at some point.
A comfy slouchy beret for frosty days, great for showing off a soft, woolen-spun, chunky yarn in two boldly contrasting or subtly matching colours.
The hat is worked bottom up in the round, starting with a ribbed brim. An increase round then sets up the stitches for the simple to follow feather + fan pattern, some repeats of which are worked in the contrast colour. The crown decreases are neatly incorporated into the pattern, allowing for the wavy lines to continue almost to the top.
Required skills / techniques:
Knitting in the round (no method specified), basic increases / decreases.
Stitch patterns are given as charts and in line by line writing.
Die Anleitung wird bald auch auf Deutsch erhältlich sein.
