Arctic Wind Beanie
The Arctic Wind Beanie is a versatile and unique pattern that works up in almost any #4 weight yarn.
Don’t let the name fool you, I have also included written instructions for creating this hat as a Beanie, Messy Bun, or slouchy hat. The added bonus is, depending on the color of the yarn, this hat is unisex and is suitable for all genders.
Gage is not important in this pattern, it is more important to measure the brim, and height of the hat.
Although this pattern only calls for less than a skein of yarn, it is possible to alternate different colors, or if you are like me, and hate sewing in ends you can use a multi-colored yarn and let it do all the color changing work for you.
I have even included an alternate ending…to change it up. Seriously folks this hat has endless possibilities!
You will need:
• 1 skein 4 weight yarn
• I/5.50 Crochet Hook
• Darning Needle for sewing in ends
• Pom Pom
Thank you in advance for your purchase. As with any of my patterns, If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, either in my Ravelry inbox, or Facebook messenger (if we are in a group together), you can also contact me by email at ileesa33@yahoo.com.
It is very important that you read the detailed notes at the beginning of this pattern. Some of these stitches are rare, but easy, if you watch the videos and use the photo tutorial I have included. I am always here to help as well.
If you want to do this pattern in Unforgettable yarn it will be necessary to go up a hook size, then follow the pattern as written.
