Arcturus is the name of a very bright star, and means “Guardian of Bears.”
The Arcturus is a large, beautifully patterned shawl that you can wrap all the way around yourself on a chilly evening. Perfect for stargazing.
This is a deceptively easy pattern, and is very acheiveable, even for a dedicated beginner. With only knit stitches used, that’s right, no purling at all though the entire shawl, and basic increases, this is the perfect pattern for your first adventure into colour work or your 100th colour work masterpiece.
The colour work sections are made using the mosaic technique, which uses only one colour per row.
Choose three colours that work well together, a main colour that contrasts well with the other 2 colours, and you will have a striking shawl that you won’t want to stop wearing all season!

Finished Size:
Approximately 175cm (69”) wide and 70cm (28”) at deepest point.
