Arden Cardigan
This pattern is of confident beginner difficulty.
The cardigan is worked from the bottom up, with the body in one piece, then divided at the armholes with back and front sections finished separately. Set-in sleeves are worked flat separately, then attached and seamed at armhole and underarm. The cardigan can be made in 5 sizes, and the basket stitch instruction is written.
The basket stitch uses more yarn than stocking stitch, but creates a garment with lots of positive ease, and a very generous fit in the body.
