These socks are inspired by Margaret’s sweater in Are you there God? It’s Me, Margaret, the film Starring Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, and Abby Ryder Fortson. Using stranded colorwork, the motif from the sweater’s neckline is recreated around the ankle of the sock, and the transition from the yoke in the sweater to the body is used in the transition from the foot of the sock to the heel.

Gauge: 18 stitches x 22 rows in 2 inches stockinette

Needle size: US 2, or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn usage: 1x 100g skein of sock weight yarn, 4x10g micro skeins of sock weight yarn
