This hat began because I wanted something interesting and beautiful to knit. When I was unable to find exactly what I was looking for I decided to design my own.

As soon as it was finished my 3 year old twins declared that it was an Elsa hat; hence “Arendelle” was born.

The cables, lace, and garter stitch all combine to give this hat a wonderful texture and visual interest. The cable & garter design continues all the way down the band--who says all hats have to end in ribbing!

10/19/16 Pattern has been updated to add stitch counts at the end of all increase rows and to fix an error in round 25.

Note: I used Red Heart Super Saver to knit this hat. The skein that I had was several years old, and was a true worsted weight-not the Aran weight of the current Super Saver yarn. Please adjust your yarn choice accordingly.
