Argus
Argus in seamless, modular, triangular shawl, named after many-eyed giant from Greek mythology, Argus Panoptes. You can actually make those motifs look like the real eyes with the right colors! I prefered the easier way and used self-striping sockyarn (Wildflower from WYS).
Materials: - fiingering-weight yarn: 100 g/ 400m of self-striping sock yarn , and 150g/600m of contrasting solid. - 3mm circular needles with the wire long enough to hold 100 sts. - Tapestry needle to weave in yarn ends. - Stitch marker (optional)
Gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 22 sts by 28 rows in garter.
Size: 2.4m wingspan and 70cm drop after blocking. Each motif, pre-blocked, measures 12cm across belly, 21cm from tail to tail; after blocking, it will stretch to approx. 14X 24 cm.
