Argyle Beanie
The Argyle Beanie is my second cable beanie pattern released and uses knits, purls and the T2B, T2F and C4B cable stitches.
This pattern is easier than it looks and creates an amazing diamond pattern by repeating a number of cable stitches.
The name for this design was inspired by Lake Argyle, a diamond mine in Western Australia’s Kimberley region, and the word argyle meaning a pattern composed of diamonds.
SIZES:
XS - 47-50cm (18.5-19.5”)
S - 50-53cm (19.5-21”)
M - 53-56cm (21-22”)
L - 56-59cm (22-23”)
XL - 59-62cm (23-24.5”)
The model has a size 58cm head and is wearing a L sizes beanie.
The pattern requires 5mm needles and 10ply/worsted weight yarn. The pattern was written using Brooklyn Tweed’s Shelter yarn but you can easily substitute this yarn for an alternative.
Please remember that if you can’t source the yarn that is recommended then try to find a yarn with a similar tension gauge. The tension gauge is the most important part when ensuring your completed beanie is the same as what you see in the pictures. The tension for this pattern is 18 sts x 26 rows.
This listing is a knitted pattern and not a finished product. You will receive a printable version of the pattern.
The pattern is written with Australian terms but there are unit conversions in the pattern.
