This lovely hat design knits up quickly on size 6.5 mm (US 10.5) needles. It is especially designed to showcase hand-spun yarn but can be knit up just as well using commercial yarn.

I used about 2.2 ounces (about 100 yds) of my hand-spun yarn to knit the sample hat shown in the listing:

a mix of lovely Jacobs fleece from Sandy Ryan’s Homestead Farm plied with my hand-carded spinning batt Camouflage Fashion.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, cabling, bind off, decreasing, sewing on button.
