A few friends asked if anyone knew of a shell mermaid tail pattern. Not the crocodile stitch, Just simple shells. When we went looking we couldent find anything. So i set to work! This is a beautiful simple tail with texture from the shell stitching. The pattern is repeated in the simple headband. Shell top and starfish patterns are included.

This pattern uses a combination of half double crochet stitches, double crochet stitches and occasional post stitches to create this lovely textured mermaid.
