This pattern is a part of my Zodiac series where I designed each Zodiac sign in a traditional Icelandic Wool sweater style.
This pattern is inspired by the zodiac sign Aries.

I’m a brand new designer but I had an amazing team of test knitters and they all gave me great and detailed feedback. Here is one for example:

’’All in all it was an amazing pattern to follow. Every necessary information was included. Also, from the point of view of a very beginner your pattern should be easy to knit for everyone´´.

This feedback meant a lot to me as I do my best to keep my patterns as simple as possible and beginner friendly.

The sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round. A few of my test knitters did however knit their sweaters from top to bottom. As the pattern is easy to follow, you can simply start at the neck and follow it down if you prefer to knit top to bottom.

Yarn: Léttlopi from Istex, Plötulopi from Istex would also be great. If you don’t have access to either then choose a similar yarn that fits the gauge.

Gauge
10x10cm = 18 sts and 26 rows on 5mm needles.

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use 4,5mm or even 4mm I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.

This pattern has slim fit and a shorter body length, if you prefer a wider fit you should consider sizing up and/or adding a few cm in the body.

Circular needles: 4mm and 5mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)

Double-pointed needles: 4mm and 5mm

Measuring tape

Stitch markers
