Materials needed: 400 yards of a fingering weight yarn in either a tonal or a solid color, US size 1 (2.25 mm) needles, stitch markers (recommended), and a cable needle (recommended).

Textured sock featuring a Celtic knot style cable on the front, two horn cable sections on the sides and a Simaril panel on the back of the leg; also has a princess sole and toe. Based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s origin of all evil, Melkor.

Pattern is mostly charted, with some written instruction on how to do the gusset/heel turn.

Written to fit a US 7 women’s foot, but can easily be modified to fit other sizes by adding purl stitches between the four different panels on the sock, or by swapping yarn and/or needles.
