Arizona Spring Sweater
This trim-fitting women’s short-sleeved sweater is knit from the bottom hem up to the armholes in the round. The short sleeves are then worked and joined to the body of the sweater. The colorwork yoke is shaped with concentric decreases to the neckline. The sweater also features waist and bust-shaping darts at the waistline. It is worked in a fingering weight yarn. The floral motifs at the yoke are presented in chart form only.
Yarn requirements:
Main color (sage green): 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) balls.
Contrast Color 1, 2 and 3 (dark, medium and light pink): 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) balls.
Contrast Color 4 (yellow): 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2) balls.
Inspiration: For a brief time in the late winter and early spring, the desert of Arizona comes to life with bright floral blooms. Saguaro cactus blossoms, bottle brush and weeping dalea flowers provide a brilliant contrast to the muted greens of the sagebrush and cacti.
