The inspiration for this piece is based on a stitch pattern I saw in a scarf for sale online. Like most of my ideas, the finished product is often a far cry from the initial vision. I tend to adjust as I go. I started knitting the sample for this while on a road trip to Arkansas…hence the name. The colors I chose also fit the Arkansas pallet that streaked by as we made our way to Hot Springs. This is a lovely rustic stole to wrap up in on a summer night or a fall day.

CC Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable 100% acrylic; 280 yd/256 m per 100g skein; beige: Cappuccino; 1 skein
24-inch US #6/4mm circular needle
Notions required: stitch markers, cable needle, needle and thread (optional), 5, ½ inch buttons with shank (optional).

GAUGE
17 sts/22 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch MC

PATTERN NOTES
The stole is worked straight, lengthwise. You will also need to be able to work cables and bobbles. For the infinity scarf option, you will sew six small buttons to one end of stole to connect it into a loop.

Always knit the first stitch on every row.
Work RS sts for bobbles VERY loosely, or they will be difficult to knit together on the next row.
