“This is the Arkenstone of Thrain,” said Bilbo, “the Heart of the Mountain; And it is also the heart of Thorin. He values it above a river of gold.” ~ J. R. R. Tolkien, The Hobbit

Arkenstone is my first knit sweater design, so it is very special to me.
For years, I wouldn’t knit myself sweaters because I didn’t feel confident
About how my body looked after having my three children.

This sweater is me proving to myself that not only can I design a sweater, but that I can feel confident and beautiful wearing it.

This feeling is my hope for you as well.

I want you to feel beautiful, confident, sexy, comfortable, and proud of yourself and your body in this sweater.

Sizing, yarn requirements, and a chart of sweater measurements can be found in the photos, but is also detailed below:

Fit:
This sweater is intended to be worn with approx. -4 to -2” (-10 to -5 cm) of negative ease.

Don’t be afraid of negative ease! The lace in the panels on the front and the back allows the sweater to stretch without distorting the cables - it looks amazing on all sizes, promise!

Upper Arm Modifications
This pattern includes instructions on how to modify the sleeve opening if you need a sleeve that is larger in circumference or a deeper armhole than is written, as well as how to adjust the sleeves to compensate for that modification.
