‘Arlene’ Ladies Ribbed Socks Worked Flat, Top/Cuff Down, on Two Straight Needles in One Piece and Seamed
Welcome to the wonderful world of addictive sock knitting! If you have never tried sock knitting before, and you are reticent about using dpn’s (double pointed needles) here is a super easy method using just two straight regular knitting needles!
This pattern will also show you how to knit a longer length sock or create a longer or shorter length foot. You may need more yarn if you are knitting a longer length pair of socks.
If you are using self striping sock yarn as a substitute for the yarn in this pattern and you want both socks to have the same order of self-striping colours in each sock, you may want to purchase two balls to work one sock for each ball. This way both the socks will look the same.
Unique features
Each sock is worked flat from the top of the cuff downwards in one piece and seamed up afterwards using a flat invisible seaming method! Super easy! You will love it. If you always knit on dpn’s you might want to try this method too!
This sock design I created is a beautiful fit and features a lovely ribbed pattern which stretches nicely to fit a range of feet from sizes Teen - Ladies - 4 to 7 (UK fitting). Why not give it a try? You won’t be disappointed!
