These fingerless arm warmers are worked in the round from the cuff up. They are knit in two patterns using two strands of a fingering weight yarn. Each of the pattern repeats can be reduced for desired length. The hole for the thumb is made by working a few rows of the pattern flat instead of in the round. Both arm warmers are identical and can be worn on either hand. Larger sized needles are used at the beginning of knitting, switching to the smaller size when starting with the cable pattern.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Sizes: S-M and M-L. Photo shown is for M-L – wrist measurement 6.5” and arm circumference at cuff 11”; Length – 13”.

Yarn: I used two strands of a fingering weight yarn (approximately 100gms in total for both mittens). DK weight would also work.

Needles: Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 8 (5 mm) circulars. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge: 22sts and 30 rows = 4” in Basketweave Pattern on larger needles.
