Armain hat
Armain is a Finnish word that can be translated as “my most beloved” or “my dearest”. I think this hat has all the makings of a favorite accessory! The hat comes in three sizes (child, adult small/medium and large) so you can even make a few Armain hats for the people you hold the dearest.
The Armain hat is started with an optional Tubular Cast On edge, which gives the hat a stretchy edge and a finished look. The hat is knitted in meditative 1x1 ribbing, and the top is shaped by decreasing 3 stitches together. The Armain hat looks best in unicolor or slightly tonal yarns with good stitch definition so that the decrease lines are most visible.
