A pretty cami top with an elegant and modern lace pattern. This deceptively simple pattern comes in nine sizes from 70 cm/28” to 150 cm/60” bust and with a choice of three body lengths – short crop, long crop and full length, plus three different strap lengths.

This summery cami top is the second in a series of three inspired by a perfect holiday in the Scottish Highlands. We always go on holiday in the north of Scotland in summer and we often contend with horizontal rain, hail and even snow. This year though the weather was perfect, unbroken sunshine. We stayed in Arnisdale on the banks of Loch Hourn, hence the name of this pattern. The first in the series is Sandaig, and the third pattern, Corran, is on the needles at the time of publication.

Needles: 4 mm/US 6 80 cm/32” circular needle or as required to achieve correct gauge, 3.25 mm/US 3 dpns for i-cord, 4.5 mm/US 7 needles (circular or straight) for bind off.

Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm/4” with 4 mm/US 6 needle in stocking stitch after blocking

Extras: Tapestry needle for weaving in loose ends, two stitch markers, waste yarn or spare circular needle for holding stitches, you may find a row counter useful

Techniques Cast on and bind off (you may wish to use a provisional cast on if you’d like to try on the top before making a final decision about strap length), knit and purl, knit and purl into back loops, m1R and m1L increases, work lace sts such as yo and k2tog as well as more complex gathered stitches (full instructions given).
