Arniston Cowl is a simple recipe for pairing variegated, self-striping & solid colourways with stitch patterns that bring each colourway to life.

The PDF includes yarn weights & brands used so that you can make a full substitution of any or all yarns used for those more readily available in your area.

All yarn used for the sample was sock/fingering weight yarn & any other appropriate yarn of the same weight can be substituted. One section of the pattern is worked in 4-ply yarn. This is to ensure that the gauge of 9sts per inch be maintained across the piece whilst at the same time creating a more dense fabric. It is important to note, however, that solids/self-striping/variegated yarns have been paired with particular stitches to showcase those stitches to their best effect. When substituting yarns, please keep this in mind. Yarn estimates are in grams & meters. The weight of skeins has been added to make substituting your own yarn easier. On page 2, you can find thumbnails of each colourway to help make your substitutions more accurate.
