I have written a simple ribbed sock pattern with one column of pattern, that:
- is written for toe-up or top-down either one.
- has a fairly easy pattern with a plain stockingette sole.
- is a formula, and the knitter may apply their own favorite toe/heel/cast off. I have included an “Elegant Toe(c),” plus pertinent links in case the knitter is unfamiliar with a different toe or heel technique.
- is written in 14 possible size/yarn weight combinations involving 40, 48, 56, 64. and 72 stitches
- is both written and charted
- is suitable for solid, tonal, semi-solid, slow gradient, and very subtly patterned hand dyed yarns
