El Arrorró es una canción de cuna tradicional canaria. La cadencia de las palabras y el tono de la melodía inspiran calma y plenitud. Este chal semicircular me recuerda a mi madre y mi abuela, y a como acunaban a sus hijos y nietos envueltos en aquellos chales enormes mientras canturreaban el Arrorró.

Este chal se teje empezando por el cuello, y presenta en su superficie un diseño muy simple, que combina calados y pequeños bodoques. Añadimos un bonito borde de encaje y tenemos como resultado una prenda amplia, cómoda y abrigadita para protegernos del frío.

The Arrorró is a traditional Canary Islands lullaby. The cadence of the words and the tone of the melody inspire calm and fullness. This crescent shawl brings back memories of my childhood. Of my mother and my grandmother, and how they cradled their children and grandchildren wrapped in those huge shawls while humming the Arrorró.

This shawl is knitted top down, and presents on its surface a very simple design, combining lace and small bobbles. A beautiful lace edge adds elegance to this comfortable and warm garment.
