In 2014, I spent a few weeks in and around London. While exploring the city, I was intrigued by the shapes and look of the foreign traffic signs. While I still do not know what they all mean, I was inspired and created this colorwork pattern.

The two color stranding technique used is simple enough for knitters that are just beginning colorwork while still being engaging enough for an experienced knitter. The beanie fits snugly to the head and over the ears and folds easily to fit in a coat pocket. The hat can be masculine or feminine based on the colorways chosen by the knitter. The knitter also has a choice of creating a snug fitting beanie or a beanie that slouches.
