This pattern is multiples of 12+4, so unless one needs to increase by 12 stitches the only way to change the size is to adjust yarn and hook size until you find the right fit. My gauge for this pattern is 4 stitches and about 4 rows in 1 inch x 1 inch using a size I/9 hook and 10wpi when wrapped around a standard no2. pencil.
