Arrowroot is sized for a UK standard cot (not cotbed) but can easily be resized to wider by casting on additional multiples of the pattern for extra repeats or multiples of the border (or both!). The length can also be increased by working more pattern repeats or more border rows (or both!).

The pattern is not as complex as it first appears but has enough interest in the alternating bands of wrapped stitches and lace to keep you going.

The side edges of the blanket are folded and sewn to make a neat edge - they could also be crocheted in place.
