Arrows Shawl
A knitted shawl can’t get much smooshier than the Arrows Shawl, a gorgeous combination of garter stitch and lace edgings. This shawl is worked from the narrow end to the wide end, knitting up quickly in a worsted-weight wool-nylon blend.
Difficulty Easy
Yarn Weight 4
Finished Size 63” wide along diagonal and 45” tall along short edge.
Yarn Manos del Uruguay Alegría Grande (75% superwash Merino wool, 25% nylon; 197 yd 180 m/3½ oz 100 g): #AG2149 Petal, 5 skeins. Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 19 sts and 34 rows = 4” in garter st.

- This shawl is worked back and forth from the narrow end to the wide end.
- A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
