Not too long ago my son told me I should make art with my crochet. I told him everything I made was a little work of art. To this he replied “No mom, you make booties and baby things, you should make like landscapes and stuff”. He is 9, and I decided to take it as a challenge instead of an insult. The hat I made was inspired by some of my favorite art, “Almond Blossoms” by Van Gogh, and the ancient Japanese Cherry Blossom watercolors. This pattern is less pattern and more instruction, and I therefore suggest it for more experienced crocheters. I will be adding a youtube video in a few days, but for now, I hope you enjoy.
