Hi Folks!

Thanks for checking out the Artefact shawl! This large shawl is a relaxing knit composed of a few different techniques. Slipping stitches while alternating colors creates long, smooth vertical lines. These lines then extend into textured, ribbed columns followed by a lattice of raised and crossed stitches. This shawl is a great opportunity to show off two complimentary colors you’ve been saving for something special. It knits up fast and is a perfect project to work on while multi-tasking. Whether you are knitting it for yourself, a friend, or a family member, the future recipient is bound to love it!

Here’s a quick summary of the pattern based on the original sample:
Dimensions:
--84 in (213 cm) in length
--18 in (46 cm) wide at thickest point
Yarn Requirements:
--Around 800 yards of fingering weight yarn used in the sample shown
--Designed for 2 colors (solid, tonal, variegated, you pick!), but feel free to mix it up
Needles:
--5.00 mm (US 8)
--3.25 mm (US 3) circular needles
Gauge:
--Sections A, C, D, &E: 24 sts by 88 rows = 4 in by 4 in (10 cm by 10 cm) in stockinette stitch after blocking lightly
--Sections B & F: 24 sts by 40 rows = 4 in by 4 in (10 cm by 10 cm) in ktbl/ptbl ribbing after blocking lightly
Other Materials:
--tapestry needle to weave in ends
--cable needle (optional)
