You may use any yarn you wish, just make sure it’s yarn of medium weight and you will be fine. For the pattern, here is what I used:

White yarn ~ Big Twist Sincerely (Med weight)
Black yarn ~ Red Heart Super Saver (Med weight)
Pink yarn in “Petal Pink” ~ Red Heart Super Save (Med weight)
4.0 mm Crochet Hook
Yellow felt
Pink Pastel chalk (or blush if preferred)
Cotton swab
