21 sts and 52 rnds = 4” 10 cm in garter stitch with larger needle, before wet-blocking
24 sts and 40 rnds = 4” 10 cm in garter stitch with larger needle, after wet-blocking
notes
Artichoke is worked in the round from center of base out. Color changes a couple of inches before the sides of bag are separated to form straps. Straps are joined using the three-needle bind off, then stitches are picked up around opening for a finished edge.

Long-tail cast on, three-needle bind off (links provided), increasing, working in the round, picking up stitches.
