A snuggly plaid with an eye-catcher: The extraordinary braid pattern consists of horizontal cables, a technique that I invented. The plaid is made with slip stitches.

The mathematician Emil Artin published the first paper on braid groups, so I named the plaid in his honor.

The pattern contains picture tutorials for all stitches and techniques used, i.e.

Eine kuschelige Kniedecke mit Hingucker: Das außergewöhnliche Zopfmuster besteht aus horizontalen Zöpfen, eine Technik, die ich erfunden habe. Die Decke wird aus Kettmaschen gehäkelt.

Der Mathematiker Emil Artin hat als Erster über Zopfgruppen geschrieben, deshalb habe ich die Decke nach ihm benannt.
