The Artists Point Keyhole Top Digital .pdf pattern download is an intermediate (achievable by an advanced beginner) crochet pattern for a size inclusive on trend summer top that has great drape and fit! Pattern includes 9 sizes from women’s XS-5X.

Crocheted in a soft and drapey blend of bamboo/cotton DK weight yarn and with 0.5-1 inch of positive ease, the top skims the figure in all the best ways but doesn’t feel or look too tight. The length hits at about 2 inches below the natural waist in rib stitching, and the keyhole cutout on the upper chest adds a fun detail that can be worn on the front, back, or can be omitted completely! The neckline is high in the front then dips down in the back, but not so far to expose the band of most undergarments. Add to all of this its delicate texture and you have an elegant wardrobe basic that looks as good styled with your favorite jeans on the weekend as it would at the office under an oversized blazer!

The Artists Point Keyhole Top is constructed from two panels that are seamed at the shoulders and from the underarm to the bottom hem. There is a little shaping required for the underarm, the cutout, neckline, and sleeve to improve the fit. The sleeves are added after seaming and worked in rounds. Finally, to give the top a finished appearance, trim is added to the neckline and cutout.

If desired, options for making the top body and/or sleeves longer or shorter are noted in the instructions. Additionally, the cutout is optional, and I explain how you would complete the panel without it. If you like the cutout but would prefer to wear it in the back, you can do that too!

The pattern is designed with about 0.5-1 inch of positive ease, i.e. designed to measure about 0.5-1 inch larger than the corresponding body measurement (Size chart below). The bust measurement is the most critical to select the appropriate size. If you prefer a looser fit, feel free to size up.

This pattern is written in great detail and contains both written instructions, reference measurement charts, and supporting photos. It has been tested and received excellent feedback from all who participated in the test.
