Socks can be plain and straightforward, very fancy with lots of detail, or sometimes they can be a little bit surprising. These socks fall into the last category. From the front they look like a plain vanilla sock, but when you turn around, the view of the back is eye catching. The cable pattern is simple to do, and just a little bit addictive; by the time you finish it you are ready to work the heel. It continues on with a standard slip stitch heel flap, and a rounded toe completes the sock.
The sample socks were knit using 1 skein of Midknit Cravings Light Sock, in colourway Petal. This yarn is hand dyed in Watrous, Saskatchewan, Canada, and it is luscious! If you can’t get your hands on a skein of this yarn, another solid or semi-solid yarn will show the cables very well.
