Recipe for a plainish toe up sock
I do not like to knit plain vanilla socks. So this is as vanilla as it gets for me.
The patterning is a simple, but gratifying faux rib pattern that gives a pleasing and quickly knit sock.
This is not a whole sock pattern, but rather a recipe to be supplemented with your favourite toe and heel. I prefer using short-row toe and heel constructions. A fabulous one can be bought on Ravelry for US $ 1.00 from the Sox Therapist:

This is a recipe for making socks which requires some knowledge on sock construction and your preferred sizing.
Some hints on sizing are given, based on my gauge and sock size.
Please note: the socks in the pattern pic have been adjusted to 7/1 faux ribbing instead of 3/1. That’s the beauty of recipes: you can make them your own! Enjoy
