Asherby Baby Blanket
So much opportunity to play with colour! This generous-sized blanket with its beautiful scalloped border is knit in the round from the centre outward. While not reversible, the pattern stitch does give a very pleasant face on both RS and WS.
This pattern provides instruction for two different colour sequences.
Make it Your Own: This design lends itself so well to adding your own touch ~ create a narrower-stripe blanket using up partial skeins of yarn from your stash. Makes every creation unique! Just change colours every 4 (or multiple of 4) rows beginning with R10.

Needles
3.5mm / US 4 set of 5 DPN and circular needles 24” / 60cm and 32” / 80cm or size required to obtain gauge
3.5mm crochet hook is used for the Emily Ocker Cast On only.
Additional Pattern Notes
Change from DPN to the shorter circular needle as stitches become too crowded on the DPN; once sts become too crowded on the shorter circular switch to the longer one.
Written directions and charts are given for one quarter of the blanket. Work each row of the chart or row of written directions four times, once on each DPN or once between each set of markers, to reach the end of round marker again.
