Ashfall is named for the Ashfall Fossil Beds in northeastern Nebraska. These extraordinary fossil beds are home to amazingly well-preserved fossils of various horses, camelids, dogs, and teloceras, as well as birds, turtles, and musk deer from the Miocene period. Most of these organisms were victims of a Yellowstone hotspot eruption, which accounts for their preservation status.
Ashfall features a subtle textured stripe pattern and is worked flat from the bottom up, then seamed to finish.
