This is a pattern similar to the Jessica cap in Quick Caps. The popcorn stitch makes this the ugliest hat I have ever encountered. I thought it would look better as I stitched along, but it didn’t. I will finish it for a joke hat. It’s possible using yarn that isn’t variegated would improve this hat, but I won’t try again to find out. Too many other cute things to crochet!!
