This lovely hat design is great for a quick gift or a small project to show off some of that lovely hand-dyed yarn.
The written instructions can be easily followed by a novice knitter but it has just enough pattern to keep the attention of a knitting veteran.

Pattern requires around 50 grams of fingering weight yarn.
I used a US 3, 16in circular until it got snug then changed over to dpns.
