Aska
Body and sleeves are worked in the round from the top down. The body is knitted with stocking stitches, except every 6th row there is an easy lace round, following written instructions and pattern chart, simply by knitting two stiches together and yarn over needle. The exchange of colors is irregular and can be varied according to choice. Sleeves are separated from the body by slipping stitches onto a holder or waste yarn, and are knitted later. When the main body is finished, you transfer the sleeve stiches from the holder/waste yarn to a needle and pick up stiches from the armhole. Then the sleeves are knitted from the armhole to the wrist with some decreases. The sweater has an oversized relaxed fit but it is easy to adjust the length. The neckline is wide but has a cord that can be used to adjust its width.
